I will be sharing more on the inspiration I am finding in Napoleon Hill's life and work but for now check out this video, apparently the only one in existence, of this brilliant and humble fellow who has influenced all of us whether we know it or not.

Open your eyes : Abre los ojos
Vanilla Sky has always been one of my favorite films because of its ability to convey that dream like sense of situations, characters, and emotions. I have been intending to watch the original Spanish film "Open your eyes: Abre los ojos" that Vanilla Sky was remade from and finally took the time last night when I saw it was on Hulu.com.

There are certain foods that one most come to know how to prepare in one's lifetime. This is a fundamental secret to existence and a fundamental practice on the path of liberation. The Story of Stuff - designing our future or our demise?
The Story of Stuff is an excellent fundamentals crash course in materials manufacturing and "consumerism" as our national past time. Clearly articulating the cycles churning around "planned obsolescence" which basically heralds the notion of making stuff to break as fast as possible while still maintaining some sense of "consumer confidence". From a design point of view this little documentary also illustrates the power of design and how it can be used for the dark side all to well. Help us Obi-Wan!
Mohammad Yunus - banking for the poor and a whole lot more...
I have just started learning about Muhammad Yunus and can only say that this man is as brilliant as he is inspiring. In this video clip he tells the story of how he was inspired to create the micro-loan banking system for the poor, called the Grameen Bank, that has grown to global proportions and is redefining the banking systems and showing the world that financial systems can serve the many not just the few.
Biomimicry - learning true design from Nature
These are hands down some of the most inspiring ideas in design I have seen in my short life time. The 12 sustainable design ideas should be tatooed on the foreheads of each and every corporate cylon CEO before they are allowed to drive that train high on cocaine. With so many brilliant people in the world I constantly feel like I am late to the party in learning from them all...
Our music on NPR story!
What a way to start the day.... Just got an email from a friend to find out a slice of one of the tracks off our CD was used in a story on Chicago Public Radio! The story was covering Baha'i elections process for the National Convention held in Wilmette, IL each year and elects the governing body for the US community. The track used was "World in Need" from our album Lotus in the Mudd: Visceral Melee. The track is used as the closing tag track in the end of the piece.
What is a vector vs. bitmap image?
I have found many of my clients through the process of working on a project come to ask this question: "What is a vector vs. bitmap image?" Many times I will ask them for vector versions of their logos and marketing materials to be re-purposed in the design of their web project. My question is many time met with puzzlement. I saw this video the other day of a master digital illustrator drawing over a bitmap image in Adobe Illustrator and thought this would be an excellent way to show the difference.. so for understandings sake:
