Just a quick note to anyone out there searching for some shred of sanity since finding their entire Adobe CS3 suite isn't supported by our good friends at Adobe on Snow Leopard. Some good news... I recently needed to erase and reformat my mac pro laptop and install snow leopard fresh (and subsequently all other apps) and found that in this fresh install my Adobe CS3 Fireworks runs just fine. There is the occasional crash (as in maybe once a month) but this is with using it every day so it is much much MUCH more stable than the hugely over priced CS4 upgrade that you probably found yourself stuck with from Adobe. Yah I say stuck with because like me you probably bought one of the "suites" thinking you would save money only to find out the upgrade path from any one app like say... the only app I actually use (Fireworks), cannot be upgraded on it's own and has to be upgraded with the whole damn suite to the tune of $600!
And from what I have read CS4 is even worse and terribly unstable so... save yourself some bucks and try a fresh install of Fireworks CS3 in snow leopard and if you see Adobe on the street please let him know if he ever manages a stable release of Fireworks CS4 I would appreciate the option to upgrade to it without the thievery. Viva la Fireworks single app license!
